MusicPlayers.com Announces Partnership With Indie Music Magazine The Deli

Wyckoff, NJ – November 5, 2009: The Deli, a popular print and online music magazine for indie bands has begun licensing product review content from MusicPlayers.com. The partnership puts MusicPlayers.com’s outstanding musical instrument and recording gear reviews in print, bringing them 25,000 to 30,000 additional musicians each month that may be unfamiliar with the popular online-only publication. It also provides a wide range of new combined, advertising possibilities for savvy marketers.

Paolo De Gregorio, Editor In Chief of The Deli, says, “We are a music website that targets musicians and music fans in their local scenes. The affiliation will be great because we will be able to provide content involving music equipment to the musician share of our readership.”

The Deli Magazine CoverThe Deli, which started in 2004, promotes indie bands in nine major US music markets. The magazine publishes new music reviews, indie bands interviews, and covers live shows in the local club scenes. Based in Brooklyn, NY, they distribute 8,000 copies of the magazine in New York City and 5,000 copies in Los Angeles, with artist features/reviews specific to each area. The Deli also publishes nine online websites for the major music markets of NYC, LA, Nashville, New England, Chicago, Austin (TX), Portland (OR), San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

“This is a great partnership for us,” explains MusicPlayers.com editor-in-chief, Scott Kahn. “The Deli’s audience is almost exclusively musicians at the indie band level, which makes them the perfect audience for MusicPlayers.com’s editorial content. And at the same time, we have completely different editorial perspectives from one another. It’s a fantastic symbiotic relationship, even if I’m forced to using a fancy industry buzzword to describe it.”

This partnership provides exciting advertising opportunities for MI manufactures as well, as the two publications are sharing in a wide range of joint programs. The reviews licensed from MusicPlayers.com to The Deli are aimed at producing a larger readership from professional musicians. Our product reviews will broaden the scope of The Deli’s content and drive new visitors back to MusicPlayers.com for more in-depth coverage (i.e. the full-length product review). “This direct and indirect exposure creates a great opportunity for any MI manufacturer, and an outstanding opportunity for a combined marketing strategy,” comments Laura MacKenzie, Publisher for MusicPlayers.com.
