MusicPlayers.com Appoints Laura MacKenzie as Publisher
Wyckoff, NJ – September 8, 2009: With the continued growth of its online magazine, MusicPlayers.com is excited to announce the appointment of Laura Benson MacKenzie to the role of Publisher.
Ms. MacKenzie is no stranger to the publishing world. Like Editor-in-Chief Scott Kahn, MacKenzie is also a veteran of Ziff-Davis Publishing, having managed production for numerous technology publications. Additionally, she brings editorial management experience to the MusicPlayers.com team (Managing Editor with Gordon Publications), and a variety of sales, account management, and business development roles in the printing and publishing industries. She also plays piano, guitar, and sings.
“It brings me great joy to combine my love for music and my background in publishing together to work with Scott and his professional team. It’s an exciting adventure for all of us,” MacKenzie comments.
In her role as Publisher, Ms. MacKenzie will be responsible for managing all revenue-generating activities including online advertising, content licensing, and new business partnerships. “We’re excited to have found Laura,” says Scott Kahn. “With her experience in the print and publishing industries, we have someone who can really drive the financial health of MusicPlayers.com while my team continues to develop new product offerings for our serious musician audience.”
